3.3. PROGRAMMING
Using the boundary conditions expressed by eqs. 3.13-14 and eqs. 3.11-3.12 which
describe the diffusion in the bulk, the concentration distribution inside all
layers can be computed by Finite Element Analysis for both migrant and the
simulant. The initial concentrations of the migrant (in mg/kg units) have to be
introduced for all layers at t=0. The strong internal gradients will be
calculated very precisely due to the variable step lengths (Fig. 3.2).
