5.1. PRINCIPAL TECHNICAL FEATURES

- Package geometry: 5 pre-defined geometries (rectangular/cylindrical spherical/spherical segment/truncated cone) + surface/volume definition.
- Design of package up to 10 layers.
- Adaptive mesh to optimize calculation time.
- Migration from material contaminant into food and from food constituent into material.
- Migration follows the Diffusion laws of Fick.
- Approximation of diffusion coefficient with the Piringer' model or extrapolation with the Arrhenius relationship.
- Consideration of migrant solubility in food (limitation of solubility).
- Consideration of temperature effect on migration (3 types of temperature control: T-shock/T-step/T-modulated + table of World climates incorporated).
- Exportation of sized graphs into Microsoft® Word.
- Exportation of calculated data as ASCII file.
- Small program size (< 3 MB), 1 exe file only.
